The sanctuary choir

The sanctuary choir sings each week for Sunday worship as well as for other special services throughout the year. The group presents at least one major work each year along with Lessons & Carols for Christmas.

The choir sings a variety of repertoire including classical, traditional worship music, spirituals, contemporary praise music, and international music. The choir is sensitive to the denominational decision to use inclusive language whenever possible.

Students from the universities join the choir each year on choir scholarship from the church. Instrumentalists often join the choir as accompanists for anthems as well as perform solos as well.

A background in music is not a requirement to become a member of the sanctuary choir. Individuals with a desire to serve God and who are willing to make a commitment to the success of the group are welcome and encouraged to visit a choir rehearsal.

The Sanctuary Choir meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Contact Lenora McCroskey, Director of Music, for more information at (940) 566-7043, dulcianne@me.com or by calling the church office, (940) 382-8815.
